Each year, we host a gala in honor of our high school students who have been awarded a spot in the Nyamwange Leadership Academy. Acceptance into the Academy is an opportunity for inner-city students to spend four years with us honing their leadership skills. As part of that curriculum, we host a once-in-a-lifetime trip to the Motherland, called Birthright Afrika.

Each ticket to the Birthright Afrika Gala (Held Juneteenth 2024, 6 – 10 p.m. EST) will help fuel the aspirations of Black students who want to reclaim their lost African heritage.
